SB infotech, a for-profit social enterprise, provides livelihood opportunities at scale for marginalized populations in the digital economy by becoming a new economy skilling partner for students, employers, and donors. Registered under the Companies Act, SB Infotech currently has its program operations across 20+ training centers located in 15+ states.
Skill training has been uncommon in India in the past, with only 5 percent of the potential workforce has undergone any kind of vocational training. Consequently, there exists a demand-supply gap that must be addressed to overcome the stark inequalities facing over 60% of the Indian population of 1.2 billion. Young job seekers make up 49 percent of the unemployed in this country. Due to the limited financial security offered through traditional occupations, SB infotech’s target beneficiaries have a better chance to gain new economy jobs through trade-specific skills training.
Young unemployed aspirants in the age group of 18-35 years are trained under our new economy livelihood intervention programs; which capacitate and enhance their employer-and career-driven skills opportunities in internet-based jobs such as e-commerce, social media, mobile and computing, digital designing, publishing, computerized accounting, hardware & networking, micro-finance, and retail.
SB infotech’s main focus is to generate livelihood opportunities for underprivileged youth and girls by providing skill development programs.
youth are the future of our nation. Their knowledge should be utilized in an organized manner. Lack of self-confidence and parental guidance is another reason for these youth.
